Fat Man on Batman fans got the web series they deserve this week with the launch of Kevin Smith's latest YouTube serial. Smith and co-host writer Marc Berardin star in the video supplement to the on-going podcast Fat Man on Batman.

"Three times a week, Marc Bernardin and Kevin Smith talk about all the daily news in movie make believe, terrific TV and anything that squeaks in Geek!" reads the Fat Man on Batman playlist description on Smith's new YouTube channel.

The three episode-a-week format breaks down into approximately 20 minute episodes or "digestible bites."

"We are the ebony and ivory of geek talk," said Smith. "It's our flagship show. Me and Marc Bernardin talking about all the news. We've have a lot to talk about."

While the YouTube version of Fat Man on Batman is shorter than the podcast, the content is in no way watered down. The first episode, "MARVEL - IRON-FISTIN' YA!," is all about the goings-on around the Marvel Television/Cinematic Universe. Topics include Ryan Coogler possibly directing "Black Panther," the Black Panther's role in "Captain America: Civil War," the recently released concept art for "Doctor Strange," possible casting choices for "Antman and Wasp," and the announcement of the showrunner for the Netflix series "Iron Fist."

The second episode (to be released) will cover the DC Comics television and movie properties, while the third episode will be a potpourri of topics, which will surely cover "Star Wars."

Fans of the Fat Man on Batman podcast will enjoy the crisp HD studio picture provided by DEFY media. And while Smith and Bernardin acknowledge that the show is absent a "green" ingredient that is a staple of the podcast, there is no lack of banter, humor and rapport between the two; also dick jokes.

The YouTube series is in no way meant to usurp or replace the on-going podcast.

"For those who are like, 'What about the podcast?' The podcast will still exist," said Smith. "Don't worry about that. Go to smodcast.com -- that'll always be there."

Fat Man on Batman is published three times a week at youtube.com/KevinSmith.
