On Sunday, August 2nd, Kevin hosted a special birthday Shindig fan event titled “50 Years, 50 Questions” in which 50 lucky fans from the audience were able to convey their birthday wishes and ask a question. The event came in just over five hours, which may be a record for most questions answered by Smith in such a short time.

— Kevin Smith

On Monday, August 3rd Kevin and the fine folks at the Mooby’s Pop-Up hosted a special birthday screening of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot at the Paramount Drive-In that was also followed by a socially distant Q&A via Twitter. Although initial delays and a complication with the drive in’s digital delivery system almost put the night in peril, frequent collaborator Josh Roush of Anticurrent Productions came up with an interesting solution in order to save the night by downloading the movie via BitTorrent and playing it for all to enjoy.
