Paul Sapiano attended Film School in Winchester UK where his short film received special honors. From there is was short hop across the pond, to LA to learn his trade in the world of film production.

After a brief stint shooting music videos, Paul turned his attention to the world of commercials, a career in which he won many advertising awards, including two Belding Bowls for spots written by Court Crandall (Writer ”Old School”), an OBIE (Best Pharmaceutical Campaign), and an AICP award for the best spec spot, which is now on permanent record at the MOMA.

Paul’s first movie as writer/director “The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down” was also bestowed with numerous awards, including “Best Director” and “Best Picture” at the LA Indies Festival 2007 – the same year the film was screened at the LA Film Festival. A genuine cult hit, the film’s sales are still strong 5 years after release.
Sapiano is currently in preproduction on his sequel “The Boys and Girls Guide to Marijuana” and he has also been tapped to write the script for “Quadrophenia 2” with LeMac Entertainment.

Noted for his snappy writing, and near the knuckle humor, and modern directorial style, Sapiano is set to release his edgy Romantic Comedy “Hollywood Sex Wars” in Nov 2011, Via WB.
